Some tool coverage may carry affiliate links. This page explains exactly how they are handled and where the line is.

Some links on Hamzify are affiliate links. This page explains what that means, where those links appear, and what it does not change.

The disclosure#

If you click an affiliate link and buy or subscribe to something, Hamzify may receive a commission. It costs you nothing extra — the price is the same as going to the site directly.

Affiliate links are marked in two ways: articles containing them show a notice at the top, and every affiliate link carries rel="sponsored nofollow" in the markup so search engines and readers using extensions can identify them.

What it does not change#

This is the part that matters.

  • Coverage is not for sale. No company can pay to be reviewed, to be reviewed sooner, or to be included in a comparison.
  • Verdicts are not for sale. A tool with an affiliate programme gets the same treatment as one without. Several tools recommended on this site have no affiliate programme at all, and some tools with generous programmes are recommended against.
  • Negative conclusions still get published. If a tool with an active affiliate relationship is the wrong choice for a use case, the article says so.
  • No affiliate link is added retroactively to change a conclusion.

If a piece of coverage was paid for or sponsored in any way, it will say so at the top, in plain language, and it will be labelled as sponsored — not blended in with editorial. As of the last update to this page, no sponsored content has been published on Hamzify.

Testing tools properly costs money. Subscriptions, API credits and paid tiers are real expenses, and hands-on testing is the entire value of this site. Affiliate income offsets that without putting articles behind a paywall or filling pages with display ads.

The alternative funding models were considered and rejected for now: display advertising degrades reading, and sponsored posts compromise the thing that makes tool coverage worth reading.

Programmes#

Where Hamzify participates in an affiliate programme for a tool discussed on the site, the relationship is disclosed on the article in question. If a programme requires specific wording — for example the Amazon Associates disclosure — that wording appears on the relevant pages.
