Privacy policy
Hamzify is a static site with no accounts and no database. This page describes what that means for your data in specific terms rather than generic ones.
Hamzify is a static website. This page describes exactly what it does and does not collect. It is written to match how the site is actually built rather than to cover every hypothetical, and it will be updated if that changes.
The short version#
- No account system, no login, no comments database.
- No advertising network and no third-party ad cookies.
- No analytics at all unless a privacy-focused provider is explicitly configured — see Analytics below.
- One item of data is stored in your browser: your light/dark theme choice.
What is stored on your device#
| What | Where | Why | How to remove |
|---|---|---|---|
Theme preference (hamzify-theme) | localStorage | Remembers whether you chose light, dark or system so the page does not flash the wrong colours | Clear site data in your browser |
This is not a cookie and is never sent to a server. It stays in your browser.
Analytics#
Hamzify is built so that analytics are optional and off by default. If analytics are enabled, the provider will be a privacy-focused one that does not use cookies and does not build cross-site profiles, and this page will name the provider explicitly.
At the time this page was last updated, no analytics provider is loaded on this site.
Server logs#
The site is served as static files by a hosting provider. Like any web server, that provider records standard request information — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — for delivery and abuse prevention. Hamzify does not have access to these logs beyond aggregate hosting statistics, and does not use them to identify individuals.
Embedded content and outbound links#
Pages may link to other sites, including affiliate links (see the affiliate disclosure). Once you follow a link, the destination site's own privacy policy applies. Hamzify does not embed third-party trackers, social widgets, or comment platforms that load scripts on page view.
Reader questions are handled on an external discussion platform, which is linked rather than embedded — so nothing from it loads unless you choose to go there.
Email#
If you email Hamzify, that email is stored in an ordinary mailbox and used only to reply. It is not added to a mailing list.
If a newsletter is offered and you subscribe, your email address is held by the newsletter provider for the sole purpose of sending that newsletter, and every issue includes an unsubscribe link. Your address is never sold or shared.
Your rights#
Because Hamzify holds almost no personal data, most data requests are simple to answer. If you want to know what is held about you, or want something deleted, email hamzajadoon71@gmail.com and it will be handled.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA including access, correction, deletion and objection. Those rights are honoured regardless of location.
Children#
This site is aimed at working developers and students. It is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes#
Material changes to this policy will update the date below. Because the site is version controlled, the full history of this page is public in the repository.
